I am going to select one word in each episode and try to explain the limitations of translation.
In this video, we will cover a word in the Quran, often translated as “beside(s) Him”
The issue with the limitations of translation is that it’s not a full and accurate reflection of the word in the Quran.
The main argument is that the word in the Quran is perfect, the nearest meaning in English actually implies something the original word in Arabic actually negates.
In this episode I chose the word "Min Doneh" من دونه
Which means "from beneath Him" often translated as "Besides Him" or "Apart from Him"
This is one of the many reasons everyone should learn Arabic as it's the language of the Quran.
