The National Insitutes of Health estimate obsesity is the second leading cause of preventable death in the United States and it is suggested that by 2030 over 40 percent of the population will be clinically obese. It is a problem that costs the US healthcare system nearly $150bn a year. The issue is not lacking in national attention.
