Two students suffered non-life threatening injuries in a shooting at a high school in Frederick, Maryland on Wednesday.
The shooting took place shortly after 8 p.m. during a junior varsity basketball game between Frederick High School and visiting Governor Thomas Johnson High School.
A witness told the Frederick News-Post that she saw four men walk into the gymnasium, which was packed with spectators, and leave a few minutes later. She then heard two shots.
Two male students were shot and wounded outside the gymnasium. They were flown to hospitals in Baltimore for medical treatment.
“The shooters, described as four black males dressed in black, are at large,” said Officer First Class M. Cox. A SWAT team was searching the area, the Frederick News-Post reported.
Frederick County Public Schools tweeted that all other students and staff were safe and accounted for.
