'The Batman' Gets 2021 Release Date Matt Reeves is writing and
directing the upcoming DC flick. Warner Bros. announced
that June 25, 2021, will be
the official release date. Sources have revealed that
studio executives are ecstatic
with Reeves' drafts so far. According to 'Variety,' the studio is currently waiting on the final version to cast the role of the Caped Crusader. Before the release date was announced, Ben Affleck
stepped down as Batman. The actor portrayed Batman and his alter ego, Bruce Wayne, in 2016's 'Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice' and 2017's 'Justice League.' Reeves' standalone movie will focus on a
younger version of the comic book legend.
