FONDLY KNOWN as "Imperfect Perfect", Picasso is a five-year-old pit bull, chihuahua and pomeranian mix who was born with a twisted snout due to a facial deformity called wry mouth. Picasso and his brother, Pablo, were living on the streets before being taken into a rescue centre in California. The pair were close to being put to sleep before they were saved by Liesl Hardt, who runs Luvable Dog Rescue. When Pablo unexpectedly passed away due to a suspected brain aneurysm in 2017, Liesl adopted Picasso personally after having made a special connection with the "miracle dog". Liesl's 55-acre rescue centre in Eugene, Oregon, offers sanctuary to many animals, including a pig named Pax, who quickly bonded with Picasso.
