Researchers found that $95,000 is ideal for “life evaluation,” which takes into account long-term goals and other macro-level metrics. However, there is such a thing as making too much money as the team from Purdue University points out. They observed life satisfaction decline after the $95,000 mark due to unhealthy social comparisons and unfulfilling material pursuits.
