The Skagit River reached its highest level in 11 years on November 23, flooding roads and forcing at least one family to evacuate.
The National Weather Service in Seattle tweeted that the river had swelled to 34.1 feet, which is considered a “major flooding” event. This is the first time since 2006 that the warnings has been issued for the Skagit River..
According to KING 5, one family in Lyman living on the border of the Skagit River was forced to evacuate due to flood water.
